Obituary
Long Point: Sherry Jean Smith, 60 of Long Point, formerly of Chenoa, died at 2:12 A.M., Friday March 30, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.
Her visitation is from 4 to 8 pm, Tuesday, April 3, 2007 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 also at the memorial home in Chenoa with Pastor Brett Heinrich officiating. Burial will take place in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa, IL.
Sherry was born October 19, 1946 in Chenoa, a daughter to Everett and Pauline (Franklin) Landrus. She married Charles W. Smith June 23, 1973 in Chenoa. He survives in Long Point.
Also surviving are two daughters; Sarah and Samantha Smith both of Long Point, five brothers; Ercel (Mary Ann) Landrus, Paxton, Lloyd (Faye) Landrus, Thompson, OH, Kenneth (Betty) Landrus, Madison, OH, David (Kathy) Landrus, Peoria, AZ, Dennis (Mary) Landrus, Chenoa.
Her parents, 3 brothers; Vercel, Frank and Russell Landrus and 2 sisters; Lois Miller and Ruth Bradley preceded her in death.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
She was employed by Heritage Manor, Minonk as a Certified Nurses Aid. Sherry enjoyed life and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
