Sheryl was born May 23, 1994 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Kevin L. and Rachell D. (Harms) Hilton. They survive in Gridley. Also surviving is her sister, Amber Hilton, Gridley, maternal grandfather, William John Harms, Gridley, great grandmother, La Dena Eaton, Dexter, MO, paternal grandfather, Leonard Rexroad, Mo., paternal grandmother, Mary Lou Hilton, Pontiac, IL and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Sheryl Harms who she was named after, grandfather, Robert Hilton, great grandparents, Russell and Dorothy Harms, and great grandfather, Thermon Eaton, and great grandparents Irvin and Elizabeth Nagel.

Sheryl was a loving child who will be missed very much. She was seventh grade student at the El Paso-Gridley Junior High School who enjoyed swimming in the summer and riding her bike with friends. She was active in softball and loved watching NASCAR on Sundays with her father and going to the stock car races on Saturdays. Her favorite NASCAR driver was Jeff Gordon. One of her greatest joys was going to the Brickyard 400 in August with her Dad. She loved helping her Mom in the summer and spring planting flowers and roses. She also enjoyed planting a garden with her grandfather William Harms. Sheryl had many friends she liked to talk to and play ball with. She loved animals and had two dogs. She loved to read and her grandma Hilton was teaching her to crochet. Sheryl was a very giving child and for that reason her parents decided to donate her organs to the Gift of Hope program so that she could live on and help others.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Gridley Summer Softball League or to the Sheryl D. Hilton Memorial Fund, c/o Freestar Bank, Gridley, IL
