Obituary
Shirley Ann Brucker, 77, of Fairbury died at 11:49 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Gibson Area Hospital Annex, Gibson City.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Colfax with Fr. Carl LoPresti and Fr. BK Tran officiating. Burial will be in Cropsey Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.
Mrs. Brucker was born April 7, 1930 in Wing, IL the daughter of Shelby and Clella Perkins Stephens. She married Bernard E. Brucker January 21, 1950 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Strawn, IL. He survives in Fairbury.
Also surviving is one son, Tim (Marjorie) Brucker, Strawn, one daughter, Cara (Mike) Filipiak, Cropsey, two brothers, Donald (Marjorie) Stephens, Fairbury, Thomas (Carolyn) Stephens, Forrest, three sisters, Hazel Honzik, Seminole, FL, Mary Ruth Ricketts, Fairbury, and Phyllis (Don) Fortna, Pontiac and six grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, one daughter Cindy and one son Mark.
Mrs. Brucker was a 1948 graduate of Saunemin High School and a member of St. James Catholic Church, Forrest.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Gibson Area Hospital Annex, Gibson City, IL.
