Obituary
Shirley A. Harmet, 79, of Cropsey formerly of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away at 2:05 pm, Friday, February 12, 2016 at Heritage Healthcare, Gibson City.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Respectfully honoring Shirley's wishes there will be no services. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Shirley was born on October 23, 1936 in Paducah, KY; a daughter to Roy and Patricia (Brightwell) Taschner. Her parents preceded her in death. She married Kenneth Harmet on May 19, 1973 in Sycamore, IL. Her husband, Kenneth preceded her in death June 21, 2015.
Survivors include three sons, Pat (Christine) Harmet of Cropsey, IL; Jonathan (Joselynn) Curtis-Harmet of Glendale, AZ; Peter (Patricia) Harmet of Bartlett, IL; and nine grandchildren.
In her retirement Shirley and her husband traveled extensively and enjoyed country living.
