Steven Roger Sapp, 45, Fairbury, went to be with the Lord in his heavenly home at 2:40am Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Faith Fellowship Ministries, Fairbury, with the Rev. Kim Ernst officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:45pm Thursday also at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sapp was born September 4, 1961 at Fairbury, the son of Ernest Boyd and Linda Lou Glover Sapp. He married Donna Marie Ogle on September 2, 2006 at Hudson, IL. She survives at Fairbury.
Also surviving are his mother, Linda Lou Sapp, Forrest, two sisters, Mary Renee James and Cynthia Lynn Mowery, and one brother, Allen Dean Sapp, all of Fairbury.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest.
Mr. Sapp was a member of Faith Fellowship Ministries, Fairbury and had been employed at Dave's Super Market, Fairbury. Steve loved God, his family, his church family, and fishing.
Steve's favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, which says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." Steve will be greatly missed here on earth, but someday, we who believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that he died on the cross for our sins and that God raised him from the dead will join him, never to be parted again.
The family suggests memorials be given to the Steven R. Sapp memorial fund.
