Forrest – Steven Ray Stork, 70, of Forrest, passed away at 10:00am, Saturday March 28, 2026, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.

Visitation will be from 4-8:00pm, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to SELCAS, Fairbury or OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, April 3, 2026, at Strawn Cemetery, Strawn; with Pastor Andrew Gerber officiating.

Steve was born March 19, 1956, in Fairbury the first son to Elmer and Darlene (Fehr) Stork. He married Kelly Harms on May 1, 1982 in Chatsworth. His wife, Kelly survives in Forrest.

Also surviving are one daughter, Amanda (Chad) Lawrence of Fairbury; grandson, Greysyn Lawrence of Fairbury; his mother, Darlene Stork of Chatsworth; 13 siblings, Paul (Dawn) Stork of Chatsworth; Ida Lou Kaeb of Arrowsmith; David (Cynthia) Stork of Chatsworth; Carolyn Stork of Chatsworth; Reuben (Devra) Stork of Strawn; Benjamin (Judy) Stork of Chatsworth; Marie Stork of Strawn; Melanie (Mark) Stettler of Garfield, MN; Mark (Sandy) Stork of Elgin, IA; Denise (Brian) Mueller of Irmo, SC; Debra (Bryan) Steffen of Forrest; Cheryl Stork of Chatsworth; and Matthew (Teri) Stork of Chatsworth; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and father-in-law, Harold and Bette Harms, 2 nephews, Benjamin and Lucas Stork; 1 brother-in-law, Merlin Kaeb.

Steve was a hard-working man of few words. His quiet demeanor and “ornery grin” will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
