Saybrook – Susan Wright, 75, of Saybrook, passed away at 3:07pm, October 5, 2023, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Her funeral will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Wesbien United Methodist Church, Saybrook. Pastor Wayne Giermann will be officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saybrook.

Visitation will be held from 4-8:00pm, Monday, October 9, 2023, also at the church.

Memorials may be made to Wesbien United Methodist Church.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.

Susan was born December 8, 1947, in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Hugo V. and Elda (Bullard) Klump.

She married Glenn Arthur Wright on May 31, 1969, in Warsaw, IL. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Bob (Leanne) Wright of Gibson City, John (Nikki) Wright of Arrowsmith, and Becky (David) Getty of Saybrook; grandchildren, Jacob (Jessica) Embry, Seth (Kari) Embry, Garrett (Kian McWherter) Wright, Allison and Bailey Wright, Kyle (Logan Berry) Getty, and Grace Getty; and great-grandchildren, Caylynn and Willow.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Susan retired after 25 years from IAA/Country Financial. She was a member of Wesbien United Methodist Church, Saybrook, Red Hat Society, and McLean County Farm Bureau. She loved her church, music, farming along side her husband, and her children and grandchildren. Susan was a devoted grandma supporting her grandchildren in any activity they were a part of, always on the sidelines at games, livestock shows, or music performances. Susan was known as a grandma to many and will be missed.
