Teresa Joan Dowling, 77, Pontiac and formerly of Fairbury died at 10:26 am Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 29, 2014 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, March 28, 2014 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. The family suggest memorials be given to the American Cancer Society or Muscular Dystrophy Association. Miss Dowling was born May 28, 1936 in Piper City, IL the daughter of Joseph M. and Leona Egges Dowling. Survivors include one brother, Jerome (Janet) Dowling, Bluffton, SC, two nieces, Deborah (Barry) Schultz, Springfield, IL and Laura (Brian) Kleppinger, Bethlehem, PA. Miss Dowling was a graduate of Piper City High School and had attended Illinois Commercial College in Champaign. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fairbury and most recently St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pontiac.
