Obituary
Terry L. Seegmiller, 64, Chenoa, died at 10:59 am Friday, February 20, 2015 at his residence, rural Chenoa.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating. Inurnment will take place in Chenoa Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be given to SELCAS.
Mr. Seegmiller was born May 27, 1950 in Fairbury, IL the son of LaVerne and Leona Grosenbach Seegmiller. He married Sue Trachsel on December 20, 1971 in Chenoa, IL. She survives in rural Chenoa, IL.
Other survivors include 2 sons, Michael (Cynthia) Seegmiller, Chenoa, IL, Thomas (Mary) Seegmiller, Fairbury, IL, 1 granddaughter, Ava Seegmiller and 1 step granddaughter, Emma Yates.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
In 1970 Terry participated in the 4-H student exchange program with Denmark. He graduated from Parkland Community College, Champaign and Western Illinois University, Macomb obtaining a degree in Agronomy (1973).
He enjoyed farming as an occupation and researching his family history and genealogy. He also served as a commissioner with the Yates Twp. Drainage District.
