Obituary
Thelma B. Winterland, 90, of Chenoa passed away at 8:45 am Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Chenoa with Pastor Edward Hudelson officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa.
Thelma was born June 23, 1922 in Pontiac the daughter of William and Josephine (Thompson) Halley. She married Roy Winterland on January 6, 1944 in Chenoa. He passed away June 25, 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister and one granddaughter.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Cindy) Winterland of Chenoa; Roger (Camilla) Winterland of Pontiac; one daughter, Mary Lou Winterland of Bloomington; one sister, Mary Lou Fahsbender of Bakersfield, CA; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Chenoa or charity of donor's choice.
Thelma was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Chenoa and Women of Trinity Lutheran Church. She volunteered for Chenoa Peace Meals for many years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
