Obituary
Thomas (Tommy) Christensen Jr., 71 of Morton formerly of Chenoa passed on to be with the Lord at 4:49 pm, Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge, Morton.
A private graveside inurnment will be held at a later date in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
Thomas was born March 20, 1937 in Pontiac, IL the son of Thomas H. and Catherine Bond Christensen. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Kay E. Christensen.
Survivors include one brother; Jerry (Ada) Christensen, Gridley, one niece; Angela (Jerry) Wetzel, Normal, three nephews; Steven (Robin) Christensen, Bridgeview, Drake (Michelle) Christensen, Vernon Hills, Jason (Janice) Christensen, Downers Grove and nine great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made directly to Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge, 2125 Veterans Rd., Morton, IL 61550.
Tommy lived in Chenoa for 54 years with his parents. He became a resident of Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge, Morton, IL on December 3, 1991 and resided there where he received loving care, until the time of his passing.
The family would like to thank the staff at Timber Ridge for the tremendous loving care they provide to God's special developmentally disabled people.
