Timothy J. Boles, 53, of Chenoa died at 4:10 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2007 ¼ a mile south of 2200 north road on old Route 66 near Cayuga from injuries sustained in a two vehicle accident.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chenoa with Father Carl LoPresti officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m.
Mr. Boles was born December 30, 1953 in Pontiac, IL, the son of Gerald W. and Margaret Bernice (Schopp) Boles. He married Deana Decker on June 12, 1976 in Chenoa. She survives in Chenoa.
Also surviving are his parents of Chenoa; two daughters, Christina and Kathleen Boles, Chenoa; and four brothers, Thomas (Genevieve) Boles, Houston, TX, Steven (Rita) Boles and Patrick R. Boles, both of Chenoa, and John D. Boles, Delevan, IL.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Alice Boles.
Mr. Boles was a 1973 graduate of Chenoa High School. He managed Boles Dri-Gas, Chenoa and later Hick's Gas and Oil. He had been employed by the City of Chenoa and most recently worked at the Prairie Central and Odell School Districts.
He served 20 years on the Chenoa Fire Department and had been the water commissioner for the City of Chenoa. He also was the president of the Log Slough Hunting Club, Pike County, IL.
The family suggests memorials be given to the McLean County Humane Society; St. Jude's Children's Hospital; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
