Obituary
Vernon Lyle Thomas, 82, of Colfax died Friday, December 7, 2007 at 2:30 AM at Heritage Manor Colfax.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2007 at 2:30PM at East Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Bloomington. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax is in charge of arrangements.
Vernon was born May 24, 1925 in Holder the son of Luke and Amanda Pearl Elfreich Thomas. They preceded him in death. He married Dorothy R. Bundy on May 25, 1947 in Bloomington. She survives in Normal.
Also surviving are one daughter, Linda (Gary) Shelton of Bloomington; one son Duane (Crystal) Thomas of Colfax; two grandsons, Joshua and Cole Thomas also of Colfax; one brother Elmer Thomas of Bloomington.
Vernon was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Vernon was a farmer and carpenter in the Colfax area.
Memorials may be made to Eastern McLean County Ambulance Association
