Violet was born December 19, 1917 in Chenoa, a daughter to Edward and Kathryn (Martin) Wahls. Her parents and one sister; Helen Wahls preceded her in death.
She is survived by many cousins, her church family at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran, and many friends.
Vi was raised on the family farm near Chenoa where she farmed with her father. She also worked at the Chenoa Variety Store, Meadows Mennonite Home and many volunteer activities, but her favorite "job" was the one she shared with her sister Helen in caring for many children in their home. She was still involved in the lives of many of these special children.
Violet had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of touching the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chenoa, many volunteer organizations including Chenoa Peace Meals. She loved to travel and was always ready to take you up on an offer to eat out or just ride along. We will miss her, but know that she is at peace with her Lord.
The family suggests that memorials be directed to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chenoa or Chenoa Elderly Board "Peace Meals", Chenoa.
