Obituary
Vonneda Marie Denison, 99, of Fairbury, passed away at 8:58 am, Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at ASTA Care Center, Pontiac.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 16, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at 2 pm in Lexington Township Cemetery, Lexington; following a luncheon at First Baptist Church of Fairbury.
Visitation will be one hour prior to her service on Friday, also at the memorial home in Fairbury. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to ASTA Care Center, Pontiac, IL.
Mrs. Denison was born June 15, 1914 in Leitchfield, KY; the daughter of Maynard and Iva (Probus) Sands. She married Herbert Charles Denison on December 23, 1933 in Springfield, IL. He passed away on July 5, 1992.
Survivors include her two daughters, Alice Jo (Dave) Householter of Pontiac, IL; Karen (Edward) Sharp of Independence, MO; one brother, Marvin (Jeanette) Sands of Florida; three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, one brother and one grandson.
