Fairbury – Warren J. Olson, 75, of Fairbury, passed away July 11, 2010 at 11:40am at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.

Funeral for Warren will be held at 10:30am Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating.

Cremation will be accorded following the services and private burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 4-7:00pm Friday, July 16, 201 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Warren was born February 25, 1935 in Duluth, MN the son of Eilert and Jennie Jacobsen Olson.

He married Peg Vaughan on June 20, 1964 in Fairbury. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Heidi (Jeff) Rieger of Bettendorf, IA and Jennifer (Ron) Rebholz of Bloomington; two grandchildren, Abbey and Ryan; one brother, Ronald (Phyllis) Olson of Laurel, MD; one sister Helen Gerber of Fairbury and several nieces and nephews.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.

He graduated from Lincoln High School, Seattle, WA, attended University of Washington, Seattle, WA and graduated from Banking School on Southern Illinois.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Warren was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury where he was past president, a choir member and a Sunday school teacher.

He was a member of the Elks Club in Pontiac and part of the scholarship committee, Lions club, Fairbury Chamber of Commerce , past president of Livingston County Bankers, President of Fairbury Jaycees, served on the Fairbury Hospital board and swimming pool board.

Warren retired from Bluestem National Bank, Fairbury where he was a director.

He was a Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who will be greatly missed.
