Obituary
Arrowsmith – Wayne "Sam" Butler, 78, of Arrowsmith, passed away at 8:12am, December 13, 2010 in Arrowsmith.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Wiley Cemetery, Colfax.
Visitation will be held also on Thursday from 10-10:45 am at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Sam was born September 15, 1932 in Arrowsmith the son of Aaron and Maurice Miller Butler.
Surviving are his brother Larry (Janet) Butler of Arrowsmith; 14 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Diane Gore; one brother Dwight Butler; one niece, Tina Gore; and one nephew, Steven Butler.
Sam was a farmer in the Arrowsmith area. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Arrowsmith.
Sam was a true outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish.
Sam was a quiet man; and though quiet by nature was very giving and generous to those who asked.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
