He loved the problem solving and constant learning construction required of him. His eyes would light up with pride when he showed off his designs and work.
Wayne will be remembered for his lighthearted humor that he used to light up every room he walked in, his bullheaded stubbornness and his unwavering support for his friends and family. He will be missed at family reunions, community events, town-wide auctions and his morning breakfasts at Burger-King.
Wayne loved to travel and learn about new cultures. In 2018, he finally got his passport and completed a Canadian road trip with his youngest daughter, Kaelee, that spanned Illinois, up to New York and then across Quebec and Ontario. By the next year, he traveled to the Philippines. Wayne's passion for travel will continue on with his kids, one new country at a time.
