Obituary
Fairbury – Wayne M. Moser, 91, of Fairbury, passed away at 8:10am, Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
His funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Monday, January 26, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Fairbury. Pastor Floyd Blackard will be officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 pm, Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Duffy-Pils memorial Home, Fairbury.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be directed to the First United Methodist church of Fairbury or SELCAS.
Mr. Moser was born November 10, 1923 in rural Forrest; the son of Carl and Grace (Meenen) Moser. He married Helen Jean Green on November 28, 1946 in Fairbury. She passed September 18, 1988. He later married Gladys Weber on May 27, 1991. She passed on December 26, 1998.
His parents and one son, Paul Moser preceded him in death.
Surviving are two sons, Carlos (Connie) Moser of Milwaukee, WI and Rick (June) Moser of Fairbury; daughter, Kathy (Rod) Fogarty of Fairbury; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister Janet (Moser) Miller of Fowler, IN.
Mr. Moser is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fairbury and was a past member of the Pontiac VFW. He was on the Fairbury Fire Department for 30 years being Fire Chief for several of those years.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII.
Wayne and his wife, Helen Jean owned and operated the Allis Chalmers Implement Dealership in Fairbury for 28 years.
