Wayne R. Rork, 92, Fairbury, died at 6:30 am Friday, October 11, 2019 at Accolade Healthcare of Pontiac.

His funeral will be at 11:00 am Monday, October 14, 2019 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sibley.

Visitation will be 9:00 to 10:45 am Monday at the church. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting with arrangements.  The family suggests memorials be given to the American Cancer Society or Cystic Fibrosis.

Mr. Rork was born October 27, 1926 in Streator, IL the son of Burley and Lillian Wilk Rork.  He married Marie Meyer on December 13, 1948 in Sibley.  She preceded him in death on August 12, 1979.  He then married Nancy Johnson on September 6, 1980 in Sibley.  She preceded him in death on December 31, 1990.

Survivors include one son, Jerry (Susan) Rork, Pontiac, two daughters, Merri Seelow, Lovington, Nancy (Steve) Cosner, East Peoria, one step son, Harry (Lynette) Johnson, Fairbury, one step daughter, Tammy (Jay) Johnson-Sibbing, Clinton, TN, thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by one brother, four sisters and one son.

Mr. Rork was a farmer for 30 years, worked at Nichols Homeshield for 19 years and owned and operated Sibley Meat Locker for 19 years.  He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairbury.
