Chenoa: Wiley L. Schultze, 61, of Chenoa, died at 6:15 pm, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at his residence in rural Chenoa.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at the Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, IL. A Masonic service will be accorded by the Bloomington Masonic Lodge # 43 A.F.& A.M. at the conclusion of the visitation.
Wiley was born July 17, 1946 in Bloomington, IL, the son of Arthur L. and Viola (Wiley) Schultze. He was a 1964 graduate of Octavia H.S., Colfax, and was employed by Illinois State University grounds maintenance.
Survivors include one son; Chris (Sarah) Schultze, Noblesville, IN, one brother; Lyle (Brenda) Schultze, Red Lodge, MT. three grandchildren; Stewart, Augustus and Alexander Schultze all of Noblesville, IN, two nephews; Connor and Renny Schultze, Red Lodge, MT, and Chris's mother; Pam Williamson, Hudson, IL.
He was preceded in death by both parents.
Wiley was a member of Bloomington Masonic Lodge #43, Illinois Shiners' and Colfax American Legion Post #653. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1971 in Da Nang, Vietnam during the TET Offensive. Wiley enjoyed fishing, boating and traveling in his spare time. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to the charity of donor's choice.
