A memorial service will be held to honor Bill's life on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Oddfellows Lodge #290 located at 122 1/2 W. Locust St. in Fairbury. The service will be open to the public.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following organizations: Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, to help the family with funeral expenses ; American Diabetes Association ; Oddfellows Lodge No. 290 ; Tarbolton Masonic Lodge No. 351.

William "Bill" E. Cox, 61, of Fairbury, passed away in his home on Monday, October 27, 2025.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services scheduled at this time. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, is in charge of arrangements.
Bill was born on December 22, 1964 in Fairbury, IL, the son of Robert E. Cox and Betsy Ann (Todd) Cox. Bill graduated from Saunemin High School and worked as a Sales Clerk, including 20 years at Ace Hardware in Fairbury.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Whitney (Jonathan Hinkle) Cox, and two grandchildren, Jacob and Veronica Cox. He is also survived by his three sisters: Debra Kennedy, of South Carolina; Diana (Stephen) Flint, of Lombard, IL; and Donna (Terrance) Brasky, of Chicago, IL.
He is preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Robert A. Cox.
Bill was an active member of the Tarbolton Lodge and the Oddfellows Lodge 290, where he served as Secretary and Past Grand Noble. Bill was quiet by nature but loved to interact with the patrons at Ace Hardware. He will be dearly missed.
