William Howard Meredith, 68 of Chenoa, passed away at 3:05 am, Thursday, June 18, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
His funeral will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 22, 2015 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Charles France officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Cemetery, Chenoa. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am, on Monday prior to the service also at the funeral home in Chenoa.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to American Diabetes Association or Livingston County Humane Society.
Howard was born January 28, 1947 in Streator the son of William and Hazel (Griswald) Meredith. He married Bernita Louise DeWall on August 1, 1970 in Gibson City. His wife preceded him in death on June 20, 2011.
Survivors include two children; Jason (Kimberly) Meredith of Oakfield, WI; Julia Ann Meredith of Chenoa; three grandchildren, Lucas, Madeline and Nora Meredith, one sister, Sue Ann Meredith of Round Lake, IL; one niece, Angela Beck, two nephews, David (Carrie) DeWall and Billy DeWall; great niece and nephews, Ava Rexroad, Devin Beck, and Keegan DeWall.
Howard was employed at Pittsburgh International-Tube, Fairbury for over 30 years. He was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church of Chenoa. He loved sports and especially the San Francisco Giants. He loved people and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
