Dwight – William "Willy" Shols, 69, of Dwight, passed away at 5:15 a.m. on June 9, 2024, at the Arc at Dwight.

Cremation has been accorded.

His funeral will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chatsworth. Inurnment will be in Chatsworth Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00am, Thursday also at the church.

Memorials may be made to the Chatsworth Fire Department.

William was born on September 7, 1954, in Fairbury, the son of Donald and Phyllis (Lee) Shols.

Surviving are his son, Dustin (friend Cheryl) Shols of Dwight; step-son, Phil (Angie) Kratochvil of Fairbury; brothers, Gary Shols of Rehobath Beach, DE and Wayne (Kay) Shols of Chatsworth; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Brenda Shols.

William graduated from Chatsworth High School. He worked for RR Donnally in Dwight for over 40 years and was a volunteer fireman for the Chatsworth Fire Department.

He was an avid Green Bay Packers, White Sox, and NASCAR fan.
