William Merle Sullens, 81, Chatsworth, died at 3:12 pm Friday, August 7, 2015 at his residence in Chatsworth.
Mr. Sullens was born July 28, 1934 in Hot Springs, Arkansas the son of Ruby and Easter Yates Sullens. He married Sandra Gosteli on January 21, 1981 in Fairbury, IL. She survives in Chatsworth.
Other survivors include his children, Richard Sullens, Fairbury, Easter (Patrick Fairley) Stanbary, Hollywood, FL, Carol (Timothy) Sanderson, Tulsa, OK, Catherine Bessen (Matthew) Toohill, Fairbury, Lourdes Charlene (Darren) Roelfs, Hudson, Gregory (Monica) Sullens, Fairbury, Jennifer Drury, Addison, IL, Jeffrey Drury, Aurora, IL, 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 1 grandson.
Mr. Sullens served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Per his request cremation rites have been accorded without services. The family suggests memorials be given to the charity of their choice. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is assisting with arrangements.
