Obituary
Wilma Jean Martin, 93, Fairbury, passed away at 4:26 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at OSF St. James – John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
A private family service was held at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury. The family suggests memorials be directed to Fairview Haven Apostolic Christian Home, 605 N. 4th. Street, Fairbury, IL 61739, where she had resided for 7 years.
Jean was born November 23, 1918, in Wing, IL, the daughter of Paul and Minnie (Maier) Koehl. Her parents, brother, Eldon, husband Earl and daughter, Sherry preceded her in death.
Her survivors are: a daughter, Jean Ann (Gordon) Honegger of Morton and son-in-law, Roger Jones of Hilton Head Island, SC; Jean also has two beloved grandchildren: Andy (Cindy) Honegger, Dr. Molly (Dr. Steve Hesseltine) Honegger, and four loving great grandchildren.
Jean worked at the Fairbury Hospital for 10 years as a Certified Nurses' Aide and 15 years as a Ward Clerk. She really enjoyed her positions and felt work was her hobby, as well as traveling.
Jean was a member of the Forrest Apostolic Christian Church and also belonged to the Sewing Circle.
