Obituary
Colfax – Winston Thomas Houchens, 76, of Colfax passed away on July 24, 2009 at 6:23 am at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Colfax.
Funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 27, 2009 also at the funeral home. Rev. Dan Jassman will be officiating. Burial will be in Wiley Cemetery.
Winston was born August 6, 1932 in Glasgow, KY the son of Winston C. and Mary D. Houchens. They preceded him in death.
He married Dianne Novak on April 6, 1956 in Colfax. She survives.
Also surviving are brother George Houchens of Ft. Collins, CO; sister-in-law Mabel Houchens of Ellsworth; nieces and nephews, Rory Houchens of Ellsworth, Lisa Smith of Holder and Leslie Houchens of Ellsworth; great nephew Jeffrey Smith; special aunt and uncle Jack and Rose Houchens of Colfax and his constant companion his cat Joe.
Winston was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one nephew.
He was a farmer in the Colfax area.
Winston was known around town for his immaculate cars and trucks.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to EMCAA.
