Gridley – Wyatt Jarod Morris, 24 of Gridley died at 8:23 am, Sunday, February 6, 2022 at his residence in Gridley.

Cremation services have been accorded with a memorial service at 11 am, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Grace Fellowship Church, El Paso; with Pastor Josh Gates officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Gridley Township Cemetery, Gridley.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm, Friday, February 11, 2022 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Wyatt.

Wyatt was born March 31, 1997 in Goldsboro, NC; the son of Marc and Phaedra (Leach) Morris.  His parents survive in Gridley.

Other survivors include his two sisters who were his biggest fans. Brittani Morris (Mike Blue) of Gridley; Maggie Morris (James Day) of Bloomington; paternal grandmother, Lois Morris of Chenoa; maternal grandmother, Janet Leach of Gridley; maternal grandfather, Otis (Jerri) Leach of Chenoa; niece, Marlee Day of Bloomington; two nephews, Chase Day of Bloomington; Mikey Blue of Gridley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who he cherished.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donald Morris and cousin, Joey Gardner.

Wyatt had the most giving heart of anyone we ever knew.  He never hesitated to help a friend in need.  He was known for his great smile, giving the BIGGEST bear hugs, and just deeply loving every person in his life.  Whether it be a friend or family member, he ended every phone call or personal visit by saying "I love you!"  He had fought an extremely hard fight the past 7 months with health issues, multiple doctor visits, test after test, but in the end his body just couldn't continue that fight for him any longer.  We will forever be grateful for the 24 years we had with you Wy and we will see you soon.
